August 19th 1961

It was 50 years ago today that my beautiful mum and rather cool looking dad walked down the aisle together.

Since mum's stroke two years ago I have wondered if we would get to this day and although it may be a somewhat different day to what we all expected, it is here, and I can honestly say they are both still so, so much in love and I just want to wish them a very, very happy 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Lots of love
Susan

They are really gorgeous. My aunt and uncle just celebrated 50 yrs too and my aunt had a headdress very much like your mothers.

What a lovely story and a lovely photo. My in-laws celebrate their 50th this year and I have a pic of them when they were wed at age 17 and 18 and they look so young. They may bicker at each other but are totally inseperable and wouldn't know what to do without each other! All the best for your Mum and Dad.
